Cambodia

The Kingdom of Cambodia is found in the southern region of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Bordered by Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and the Gulf of Thailand; the land consists mainly of an immense alluvial plain ringed by mountains, to the East of which is the Mekong River. Cambodia is home to Vietnamese, Chinese, Chams and 30 various hill tribes.

The “Paris of the East” before the 1970s, the capital Phnom Penh is the political, cultural and intellectual hub often overlooked in the wake of Angkor Wat. The revitalized city of Siem Reap with its cluster of small villages along the Siem Reap River, is the gateway to the Angkor region home to the famous Angkor Wat, the symbol of Cambodia.

North Star takes you on an amazing journey into Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. Bearing the remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, Angkor is testimony to the ancient empire’s immense power and wealth.
