Dhow Castaway

Dhows are traditional Arabic sailing vessels which feature raised hulls and long prominent bows. Historically these boats have been used for shipping trade, fishing and pearl diving. For us now, these dhows provide us with the opportunity to explore undisturbed coastal areas inaccessible by land.

Cruising close to the coast, North Star’s Dhow Castaway Trips give students a taste of local historic culture, coastal environments and marine life.  Upon anchoring near a sheltered bay, the large decks provide the perfect platform for jumping and snorkelling in the water, along with other water-based activities.

Dhow Castaway Trips are offered as day or overnight adventures aimed for students to enrich their North Star experiences and advance their learning from previous years at our Fujiarah Adventure Centre.
